NEW SINGLE AND VIDEO "LOW" IS OUT NOW!

Following the release of her previous singles “Soak”, “Bright Sides” and "The Birdcage Stomp", multidisciplinary artist Snovonne “Sno” Drake now presents her new single and official video “Low”.

A deeply personal composition, “Low” explores the emotional threshold where collapse becomes transformation. The song reflects on the paradox that sometimes only reaching the lowest point allows a person to rediscover beauty both in the world and within themselves.

Speaking about the new track, Sno explains:

“‘Low’ is a song very dear to me. Sometimes only hitting rock bottom enables you to see the beauty around you and within yourself. Definitely a situation I found myself in multiple times over the past years. The minute we started recording the album in Simon’s studio (SolnaSound Production), I knew we had to film the video right there, because it would support the meaning perfectly.

When I’m working on music surrounded by amazing musicians, who are also dear friends, nothing else matters and nothing hurts. That’s true joy. It was actually very healing for me, so I wanted to preserve that and have the band in the video, which is something I don’t do often. It’s a melancholic yet uplifting song with a feel good video, showing musicians doing what they’re best at. And of course, Mike’s beautiful guitar solo only underlines everything.”

Musically, “Low” blends melancholic atmosphere with an uplifting emotional core, balancing introspection with warmth and authenticity. The accompanying video was filmed directly at SolnaSound Production in Stockholm, capturing the intimate and collaborative spirit of the recording sessions.

The track features a distinguished lineup of musicians: Johan Koleberg (Wolf, ex-Therion, ex-HammerFall) on drums, Peter Bales on bass, Simon Johansson (Soilwork, Wolf, live guitar for Tiamat) on guitar, and a striking guitar solo by Mike Wead (King Diamond, Mercyful Fate).

“Low” was written and produced by Snovonne “Sno” Drake, who also performs all vocals, keys and synths. The track was mixed by Simon Johansson at SolnaSound Production in Sweden and mastered by Thomas “Plec” Johansson at The Panic Room Studios. Recording sessions for drums, bass, guitar and vocals took place at SolnaSound Production in Stockholm. The official video was directed and edited by Sno herself through Sno Drake Design & Media.

With “Low”, Sno continues the artistic path opened by “Soak”, her return single after a seven-year hiatus, and “Bright Sides”, a sharp and satirical take on the music industry and the challenges of remaining an autonomous artist. Together, these releases mark the beginning of a new creative chapter, blending music, visual storytelling and personal transformation.
